Hotel Lamm Chronicle
The “Lamm”, founded over 200 years ago as a small brewery and brew pub with its own Schnaps distillery, has been owned and run by the Klumpp family for many generations. Katharina Klumpp took over the business in 1926. After her death in 1952 her son Ernst Klumpp took over together with his wife Gertrud, who until her death in August 2006 acted as senior partner and took pleasure in personally welcoming both longtime and first-time guests.
Since 1976 Ernst Klumpp junior has been successfully running the Hotel together with his wife Gundi.
The building history is almost as long as that of the Hotel “Lamm” itself. The Hotel was renovated and extended for the first time in 1956. The year 1976 saw the addition of the new guest house. Further renovations and modernizations of the kitchen and the restaurant were undertaken by local craftsmen in 1983 and in 1992. Finally, in 2003 the unique “Black Forest Bath House” was added, rounding out the Lamm as a four-star-hotel for families and all those seeking repose.
The Lamm offers 46 rooms (apartments, double and single rooms) and can accommodate up to 75 people. The rooms in the guest house are decorated and furnished in the romantic German country house style. The main building is decorated in a nostalgic, typical Black-Forest-Style. In addition all guests can enjoy the fireplace room, restaurants, swimming pool, bath house, sauna, terraces for drinking coffee and lazing in the sun, and a large sunbathing area. Moreover there are parking spaces and garages for the guests.
Today the Lamm in Mitteltal stands for harmonic and relaxing pleasures for the palate and the soul. For many decades innumerable guests have treasured the balance struck between luxury and cosiness we offer, and we are finding new friends every day.
